I didn’t begin my career in real estate. In fact, I started in the corporate world, working at top companies like Boston Scientific and Intel after earning my degree in Electronics Engineering.
On paper, I had everything: a stable job, a great salary, and a promising future. But something inside me felt unsettled. I knew I wasn’t living my true purpose.
Then life gave me a wake-up call.
A serious medical condition forced me to pause everything—a tumor in my parotid gland that led to multiple surgeries and months of recovery. For six months, I couldn’t move half my face. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life.
But in that silence, I found clarity. A mentor encouraged me to take 40 days—like in the biblical story where time in the desert symbolized reflection and transformation. Not to think about what I wanted to do, but why. Through journaling and prayer, real estate kept coming up—not as a job, but as a calling.
As soon as I recovered, I made the bold decision to move to Guanacaste alone and start fresh. I began as Executive Assistant to the founders of Krain Luxury Real Estate, learning everything I could. One year later, I launched my own company: Perez Real Estate Group.
“Working with broker Luis Perez was perfection! He's smart, hard working, and an excellent listener. Luis arranged multiple showings during our visit to Guanacaste and worked seamlessly with the other listing brokers. He's also a very kind person. I give Luis Perez my highest recommendation!”

“My husband and I have been interested in buying a home in Costa Rica for about 6 months now. We contacted Krain real estate after watching some of their YouTube videos to help us with this process. Our agent Luis Perez has been very informative and spent an incredible amount of time with us, he is now our friend and we have found a wonderful home that we can't wait to move into!.”
